This Privacy Policy explains how Groundwork LLC ("Groundwork," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Groundwork Fi app and this website (together, the "Service").
Who we are
Groundwork Fi is made by Groundwork LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company based in Philadelphia, PA. You can reach us at abdoulai.jobe@groundworkfi.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, and the details you enter about your goals, accounts, income, and expenses. If you join early access on this website, we collect your email address.
- Financial data from connected accounts. If you choose to link an account, we receive read only data such as balances and transactions through a third party connection provider. We never receive your bank login credentials, and we cannot move money.
- Usage data. Basic information about how you use the Service, such as features used, device type, app version, and crash reports, so we can keep things working well.
- Conversations with the AI guide. The questions you ask and the responses you receive, so the guide can remember context within your chat.
How we use it
- To provide the Service, including your foundation stage, goals, insights, and learning recommendations.
- To respond to your questions and send updates you asked for, such as early access news.
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems, and improve features.
- To meet legal obligations.
How we share it
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, account connection, analytics, error monitoring, payment processing, and AI providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data security
We use industry standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls that limit who can see your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
Your choices
- You can view and update your information in the app at any time.
- You can disconnect linked accounts whenever you like.
- You can clear your AI chat history in the app.
- You can delete your account in the app. When you do, we delete your personal data, except where we are required to keep certain records by law.
- You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service grows. If we make meaningful changes, we will let you know in the app or by email, and update the date at the top of this page.
